Why Style Look Lab exists
Personal color analysis is useful when it turns an abstract season label into decisions you can actually make: which colors to place near your face, what to compare in a fitting room, and why one shade feels easier than another.
Too many digital tools skip that explanation. They return a verdict without showing the signals behind it, while traditional in-person analysis is not equally accessible to everyone. Style Look Lab was built to make the 12-season framework easier to access, easier to understand, and easier to question.
What you get
You upload one to three clear, front-facing photos. Style Look Lab checks whether the lighting and image quality are usable, then builds a report around the visible color relationships in your face.
The report includes your 12-season result, a personalized palette, and practical recommendations for outfits, makeup, hairstyles, eyewear, and jewelry. It also shows the confidence behind the result. When the evidence is close, the product should say so instead of forcing certainty.
How the analysis works
The system looks at four connected traits: temperature, depth, clarity, and facial contrast. Those measurements place the photo on the 12-season wheel and shape the recommendations that follow.
This is an image-based style analysis, not a judgment about identity, health, or attractiveness. The full methodology explains what the system measures, what it derives, and where its limits are.
Built for more skin tones
Style Look Lab was designed around gaps that older references often leave behind:
- The Monk Skin Tone Scale, MST 1–10. Skin depth is described on a scale intended to represent a broader range of people, rather than using the Fitzpatrick scale as a color-analysis shortcut.
- Olive as its own undertone signal. Olive is not automatically collapsed into neutral or warm, because that distinction can change a palette.
- Uncertainty stays visible. A confidence score and neighboring result matter more than pretending every photo supports one absolute answer.

Independent by design
Style Look Lab is an independent product. There are no investors, ads, data sales, or sponsored recommendations. Revenue comes from the people who choose to pay for the product.
That structure keeps the incentive simple: make the report useful, explain the reasoning, and be honest about uncertainty. Independence does not make the analysis infallible; it makes the tradeoffs easier to state plainly.
